Education

Richard holds a B.S. from Clarkson in Engineering, M.S. in Management from Clarkson, General Management degree from Columbia, Executive education in the BMS program at Harvard and Lean Management from University of Tennessee.

Experience

During past 20 plus years Richard has held critical positions from chief procurement office for Eaton Corporation with $8B in spend to president of a $800M division. These experiences taught me how to manage large budgets, identify revenue improvements, and drive accountability.

Family

Some people were born in the right town and it took our family moving to Knox County to know home. Family first. Married my high school sweet heart and have 3 children, Chandler a lawyer for Right Side Compliance, Brianna a consultant for PWC and my son is attending University of Boulder.

Richard Jacobs has a reputation for finding solutions to difficult problems. As an elected official, he will bring a high level of personal responsibility, ethics and dedication to making Knox County the best it can be.
